Cookie Policy

What are cookies

Cookies are pieces of code installed within the browser on users’ electronic devices to enable secure and efficient navigation, monitor sessions, authenticate users so they can access a site without typing their username and password each time, and store their preferences.

Cookies can be of two types:

  • “Technical cookies”, which can be divided into navigation or session cookies, ensuring normal browsing and use of the website (analytics cookies used directly by the site manager to collect aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the site are also included in this category), and functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria in order to improve the service provided;

  • “Profiling cookies”, which are aimed at creating user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the web.

Cookies can be installed by the site the user is visiting (so-called first-party cookies) or can be installed by other websites accessible through the site the user is visiting (so-called third-party cookies).

Marketing cookies are used to track visitors on the website. The purpose is to provide anonymous and aggregated information on the age and gender of users, as well as their interests as expressed through browsing and online purchasing activities.

This data may be disclosed to third-party cookie providers for these purposes.

The aforementioned processing of personal data is based on the Data Subject’s consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given at the time of first access to the website or subsequently.

The Data Subject has the right to withdraw consent at any time without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal. For how to exercise the right to withdraw consent, see the section “Exercise of the data subject’s rights.”

The provision of data is optional, and any withdrawal of consent by the data subject will make it impossible to process the data for the aforementioned purpose.

Since the installation of Cookies and other tracking systems operated by third parties through the services used within this site cannot be technically controlled by the Data Controller, any specific reference to Cookies and tracking systems installed by third parties is to be considered indicative. For complete information, the User is invited to consult the privacy policy and cookie policy of the third-party services listed in this document.

Given the objective complexity linked to the identification of technologies based on Cookies and their very close integration with the functioning of the web, the User is invited to contact the Data Controller if they wish to receive any further information regarding the use of the Cookies themselves.

How to control the installation of Cookies and how to disable them (opt-out)

The User can change the preferences already expressed regarding Cookies that are not necessary at the following link

In addition to what is indicated in this document, the User can manage preferences relating to Cookies directly within their browser and prevent – for example – third parties from installing them. Through the browser preferences, it is also possible to delete Cookies installed in the past.

It is not necessary to obtain the user’s consent for the use of technical cookies, but it is possible to disable them through the choice options indicated below. However, it should be noted that by disabling technical cookies, the Site may not function properly.

The User can find information on how to manage Cookies in their browser at the following addresses (relating to the most popular browsers):

In most modern browsers, it is possible to activate the Do Not Track option. Websites designed to respect this option, when activated, should automatically stop collecting some of your browsing data. However, not all websites are set up to respect this option.

It is also possible to choose the “incognito mode” or “anonymous browsing” mode in your browser (now available in most popular browsers), which allows browsing without the use of technical and profiling cookies. With this feature, you can browse without leaving a trace of your browsing data in the browser. Sites will not remember you, the pages you visit will not be stored in the history, and new cookies will be deleted. The anonymous browsing function does not guarantee anonymity on the Internet, because it only serves not to keep browsing data in the browser, while your browsing data will continue to remain available to website managers and connectivity providers.

All browsers have functions to directly delete installed cookies. Remember, however, that new cookies are downloaded with each Internet connection, so the deletion operation should be performed periodically. If desired, some browsers offer automated systems for periodic cookie deletion.

Data Subject’s Rights

Pursuant to Articles 13-21 of the GDPR, under the conditions provided therein, the data subject may at any time exercise the following rights against the Data Controller:

  • right to withdraw consent to data processing (see section “Purpose of processing and legal basis”)

  • right of access (the Data Subject has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, as well as information on the data processed and to receive a copy of the same);

  • right of rectification (the Data Subject may request the updating or correction of their personal data);

  • right to erasure of data (so-called “right to be forgotten”) (the Data Subject may request the deletion of their personal data, in the cases and under the conditions referred to in Article 17 GDPR);

  • right to portability (in the cases and under the conditions referred to in Article 20 GDPR, the Data Subject has the right to receive their data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and, where technically feasible, to obtain the unobstructed transfer to another controller).

  • restriction of processing (the Data Subject may request the restriction of the processing of their data, in the cases referred to in Article 18 GDPR. In this event, the data may be processed by the Data Controller, in addition to storage, with the consent of the data subject or for the protection of their own or others’ rights in court or for reasons of public interest).

  • right to object (the Data Subject, when personal data are processed under the public interest or the legitimate interest of the Data Controller, has the right to object to the processing for reasons connected to their particular situation. In the event of processing for direct marketing purposes, the objection can be exercised without any motivation).

  • right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Exercise of the data subject’s rights

For the exercise of the aforementioned rights, the Data Subject must send a written request to the Data Controller at the email address info@performancestrategies.it
